Lucy: Dancer…Member of Parliament in ‘Lucy Rayha Al Magles’

Osama Ghazi, the scenarist of the much applauded Opera Ayda TV series, will present his new film “Lucy Rayha Al Magles” (Lucy is Going to the Assembly) mid next month. The film is directed by Omar Abdul Aziz and stars Lucy.  

The movie explores the story of a female employee managing a folkloric troupe who runs elections and wins membership at the parliament (or Peoples’ Assembly). It also tells about many paradoxes in the personality of the dancer as a member of parliament and a folklore dancer.  

Lucy is the third star in the Egyptian cinema history whose name appears in the title of a movie after the late comedy star Ismael Yassin and diva singer Laila Murad -- Albawaba.com
