Officials at the Egyptian Broadcasting Production company were shocked when Egyptian belly dancer/actress Lucy presented them with a new request demanding a raise in her wage. The dancer stressed that she wants a 10 thousand pounds raise in her wage for each episode of the television series “Awraq Masrieh” (Egyptian Papers), which is going into its third season.

The raise that was predefined by the officials was a three thousand pound raise on her wage, which Lucy refused to agree to. The dancer stressed that she will not participate in the series unless her demands are met.

Lucy, who is currently trying to make a name for herself in the music industry, has created chaos with her latest music video “Ya Imghair Hali”, which was thought to be extremely seductive and her outfits too revealing. Lucy has received numerous criticism over her video and is facing problems with the Egyptian Censorship Committee, which is demanding a banning of the clip.

Lucy showed no interest in the negative criticism she was bombarded with and simply stated she does not understand why she is being criticized for wearing her work costume, which is a belly-dancing outfit. She added that she is not doing anything disrespectful, but merely dancing in her clip, which is her original profession.

Lucy stressed that she has not committed a crime and her video was not shot in the dark nor was it shot in her bedroom with her husband in unacceptable positions!? She noted that she is a dancer and is simply presenting some of her dancing moves, which is far better than attempting to be a dancer, who can not perform any moves and simply just wants to seduce people with demeaning body movements.

The dancer/singer noted that she does not mind the criticism as long as it does not become hurtful to her character. She considers herself as a respectful dancer, actress, singer and mother. Lucy revealed that she intends on filming three more songs from her album in the form of a video clip.

Lucy has been classified by the Egyptian Censorship Committee among the group of singers who are considered to be seductive and follow an inappropriate style in their music videos. A member of the Egyptian Musician Association has filed a complaint against the singer for using methods that are considered too demeaning stressing that she will face a possible elimination from the association.

The release of Lucy’s video has caused uproar and chaos to break due to the fact that her appearance in the clip goes against all ethics and moral in the Arab world. The singer/dancer wore outfits that were considered too revealing and inappropriate for viewers.

In the video, Lucy tries to seduce the owner by singing and dancing. Lucy stressed that she does not fear failure because she always seeks to try new things. She added that she has completed the recording of most of the songs from her first album. –Albawaba.com
