In a joint Egyptian Tunisian production, an agreement was reached with the Tunisian singer Lutfi Bushnaq to release a new album entitled Long Live Peace.
The album, which includes a number of Arab national songs, which depict the current developments, explores the struggle of the Palestinian people, according to the daily al Gomhuria.
Bushnaq, the Tunisian producer Fakhri Yai’sh and the Egyptian Ibrahim al A’kkad decided to donate all the proceeds to be generated for the Palestinian people in solidarity and support for their issue.
The songs were written by poets Mahmoud Darwish, al Hadi Abdel Malek, Ahmed al Laghmani and Haider Mahmoud and composed by Lutfi Bushnaq and Mohammed al Magery.
The songs include Long Live Peace, Apology, Yes for the Homeland, Ambitious, Dream, and We are Crossing.
At the conclusion of Cartage festival Bushnaq has tapped Ghada Rajab and Merriam Nooh to participate along with him in a concert which will be held specially to support the Intifada. This will take place after he will have been honored at the third Video Clip Festival which will be held in the Egyptian resort City of Sharm al Sheikh next July -- Albawaba.com
