The Lebanese artist Madline Matar has come accustomed to always making unique comebacks after prolonged absences. She always strives to make her return to the scenes exceptional and somewhat daring, but never in a seductive manner.
Her most recent release is a solo hit sung in the Egyptian dialect, which she had filmed into a video clip. Madline’s new clip is said to be daring and it has the signature of the Lebanese director Fadi Haddad, marking the first cooperation between the two.
According to the London daily Elaph, the idea of the new clip revolves around a barbeque dinner party and Maldine’s character finds out that her lover is flirting with another woman sitting on the table. She becomes outrageous and the dinner party turns into a war where Madline’s character wins for her own dignity.
On the other hand, when Madline was asked if she would react the same way if she was put in the same position, she said “no because she never runs after men”. At the same time Madline admits that if a man cheats then he doesn’t deserve a second look from her and that ignoring him might do more damage than taking revenge.
