It looks like no matter what Madonna says, some magazines have no intention of listening; some publications are still adamant about an upcoming wedding to Guy Richie.
Us Weekly insists that the Material Mom’s oft-denied nuptials to British beau Ritchie are very much in the works. The magazine’s gossip columnists say the wedding invitations have already gone out.
A Scottish castle will be the site of the Ciccone-Ritchie union, claims the magazine.
Natch, Madonna’s publicist says that the two are merely planning a “family holiday” with the kids. Of course denials from the Music star’s camp are frequently proven to be mere delaying tactics, as was the case with her rumored pregnancy, where the truth quickly became too hard to hide.
Director Ritchie bowled Madonna over with a giant diamond ring after the August birth of their son. Of course, in the current rules of celebrity couples, huge, honking diamonds don’t mean a thing. At least, not officially.
Madonna has long skirted talk of marrying her Guy, having told the aforementioned magazine, in an earlier interview, “we talk about marriage, but we can’t decide whether it’s something that’s necessary.”
Apparently Lourdes, Madonna’s daughter with personal trainer Carlos Leon, does feel it might be necessary. The 4-year-old was quoted recently as asking her famous mum, “mom, are you going to get married before I get married?” – Albawaba.com.
