The Syrian producer and actor Firas Ibrahim revealed that he will produce a new television drama series about the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darweesh. The new series is being written by the Syrian writer Hasan Yousif and it is scheduled to be aired on television during the next Ramadan season.
Firas Ibrahim said that he will play the role of Mahmoud Darweesh in the new series called “Thel Al Ghiyab” (Absence Shadow).
Firas said that he chose Mahmoud Darweesh to present in an important television series, because the famous late Arab poet had a great affect on politics and culture.
Firas said the series will be filmed in various capitals like Damascus, Amman, Cairo, Tunis, Paris and London.
Firas produced and participated in the television drama series “Asmahan” which was aired last Ramadan season and found great success.
