Talk about a pebble in your shoe. Adel Imam is so over the dramatic news about Mahmoud Yasin's withdrawal from "Sahib Al Saadah" (His Excellency). Ok, so the film makers might have jumped the gun a little looking for a replacement for the star that set him in a tailspin that ended in his official resignation, but this stuff happens all the time.
Adel finally sent a press release about the sudden withdrawal of the "His Excellency" lead actor, stating that the media and Arab rumor mill have taken this way out of porportion.
According to Sayidaty.net, Adel said, "I question what is the big deal if an actor withdraws from a certain project, even if this actor is the great Mahmoud Yasin. In his regards, I consider him a very good friend and can never speak ill of him in any way and there are no disputes between us and no project on earth can come between us."
Adel added, "Throughout my life I have made it a point to never allow any dispute to come betwen me and any of my friends, because friendship is what remains and lasts forever. At the end of the day I say that Mahmoud withdrew with all respect from completing the drama without any disputes and only for the reason of differences of opinion not more not less and this is a very natural matter."
The convincing actor assured that what exaggerated the incident is the fact that Mahmoud had in fact filmed some of the scenes, and if he had withdrawn before filming began, the matter would have been taken much differently by the media. At the end of his press statement, Adel stressed that Mahmoud is a great actor whom he loves dearly on a professional and personal level, wishing him the best in all his endeavors.
