Mai Izz El Din intends to wear a ‘Hijab’

Young Egyptian actor Mai Izz El Din is considering wearing a Hijab, an Islamic headdress. She needs to build up the courage, since such a decision will change her life completely, said Mai.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, a recent rumor claimed that Mai intends to wear a Hijab and quit her acting career. She denied the rumor, stressing that if she does decide to wear a Hijab she will continue to act. It has become a trend that female stars who decide to wear a Hijab often face predictions they will forgo their successful careers.
Mai’s latest television drama “Bint Banoot” (Translation?) will be aired at the beginning of November on Dubai’s satellite television channel. In the drama she stars alongside Egyptian comedian actor Ahmad Saed Abdul Ghani, Ahmad Azmi, Majida Al Khateeb, Ehab Fahmi, Reham Abdul Ghafour and Hassan Husni.
The drama takes place in a working class Egyptian neighborhood and depicts the circumstances faced by its residents, especially teens.
