According to the London daily Elaph, a number of Arab channels and radio stations have started airing the new song for the Iraqi artist Majed Al Muhandis which is called “Ya Gaza La Tibkeen” (Gaza Don’t Cry). The Iraqi singer calls out to the people of Gaza and talks about their suffering and their Arab brothers from the ocean to the Persian Gulf that are suffering with them.
The new song is written by the poet Faiq Hasan and composed by Al Muhandis and it was recorded at Eli Saba studios in Beirut.
On other grounds, Al Muhandis had put everything on hold ever since the crises in Gaza started. He also apologized for not hosting a live concert for the New Yea’s, because he did not believe it is appropriate while his brothers in Gaza are dying. Al Muhandis made a strong come back after his car accident in Europe at the “Eid Al Adha” break where he hosted live concerts for the festive holidays in Dubai and in Cairo.
Al Muhandis’s press office in Amman reported that Al Muhandis is fed up with what is going on in Gaza and adds that the continuing attacks on the Arab nation whether its Iraq, Lebanon and now in Palestine aim to make the Arab world weaker. On the other hand, Al Muhandis is deeply touched by the support of all Arab countries to their Palestinian brothers whether it’s donating blood, money or medical help.
