Majidah Bankiran Looks for Groom on Silver Screen
A second part of the Moroccan comedy series Lalah Fatma will be directed by the French Patrick Nicoloni, while Moroccan director Nabil Ayoush will handle the production, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The Moroccan actress Majidah Bankiran will participate in the episodes, playing the role of a young woman looking for a bridegroom.
Morocco's TV Channel 2 will produce the series in collaboration with a French technical team.
The channel has begun airing part one of the series during the fasting month of Ramadan. Costarring in the series are the duo Khadijah Asad and Aziz Saadallah, along with Mohammed Al Khalfi and Khadija Jamal.
Bankiran also plays the starring role in the new TV film entitled Mandeel Safiyyah, directed by Mohammed Al Elaiwi. The film is scheduled to be screened on the same channel.
