Lebanese singer Marwa has headed to Kuwait to meet with Kuwaiti artist Naser Al Balooshi to ask her to take part in the new play “Al Madrasah Al Majnoona” (The Crazy School).

According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, the play is scheduled to open during the Muslim holiday Eid Al Fitr and Marwa will be holding a number of musical performances.

Marwa is pleased with the media blitz she has created with her daring and according to many, provocative style.

Marwa compares herself to the American legend Marilyn Monroe, claiming to share many of her qualities, and adding that many have termed her the “Monroe of the Arab world.”

Marwa denied that the theme of her latest music video ‘Sheel Eedak’ was taken from Haifa Wahbi’s song ‘Ya Hayat Albi.’

The singer stated, “I filmed my video last year, long before Haifa’s song came about,” adding, “To my dismay the clip was not aired until six months after its production, because the censorship thought it was too provocative, but the clip’s theme was published in several newspapers.”
