Lebanese artist Melisa, a newcomer to the music world, does not believe that she needs to be seductive to be successful, however, she prefers to be “sexy” and “play out” her feminine side.

According to the London daily Elaph, Melisa is preparing to release her first album “Mfaker Halak Meen” (Who do you think you are), which includes a selection of Turkish music. She has filmed a music video clip for one of the songs.

The new album will be released in June and includes 8 songs, one of which is a duet.  Two of the songs were previously released as solo singles. The new album features songs composed by Turkish artists.  The other songs were composed by Tamer Ayesh, Jan Saliba and Hadi Shararah. The lyrics for the songs were written by Nabil Abu Obeid, Muhammad Rifaie and Khaled Taj Al Deen.

Melisa always wanted to sing ever since she was a little girl. After meeting with Jan Saliba for the first time he told her not to sign a contract with anyone else and that he would produce her work. Melisa says that even though Jan Saliba is tough, he is very talented and takes his work seriously.

Melisa said she relies on her voice to be successful.   She also said there is nothing wrong with being sexy, but a singer should not rely on it to sell music.

Melisa does not believe that now is the time to begin acting, since she is still a new comer she wants to focus on her music. She believes that she will reach her goals.
