Melissa and Aykon’s crises at the Opera

A concert given by the Lebanese artist Melissa and the international artist Aykon at the Egyptian Opera House was a disaster, after the stage collapsed one hour before the artists came on stage.
According to the London daily Elaph, 20 people were injured from the audience and ambulances came to rush 6 of them to the hospital. Some audience members are demanding their money be refunded.
The stage was fixed and the performance went forward, until another part of the stage that holds the lighting collapsed.
Hundreds of fans began pushing their way toward the American artist and were confronted by security forces and bodyguards that preventing them from getting too close.
Despite the fiasco, Melissa’s press office released a memo stating that Melissa and Aykon held a successful concert drawing over 15,000 fans and that Melissa glowed in her performance.
Melissa and Aykon will be touring a number of Arab countries, including concerts in Dubai and Bahrain.
Melissa’s latest video clip “Talali Awam” (Come to me Fast) has been successful since it was aired two weeks ago on the music channel ‘Rotana.’
