Merna Walid gives birth to ‘Maryam’
According to the London daily Elaph, the actress Merna Walid gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Maryam.
Merna traveled to Lebanon right after she finished filming the new television drama series “Ma Tkhafoosh” (Don’t Be Afraid), also starring the famous Egyptian actor Noor Al Sharif. Merna wanted to give birth at home in Lebanon with her mother by her side.
Merna plays the role of a journalist in “Ma Tkhafoosh,” and filmed the series while she was pregnant in her second trimester.
She is the object of Noor Al Sharif’s affection in the series, while he is a trusted source for Merna.
Merna also finished filming the drama series “Waraq Al Toot” (Berries’ Leaves) starring Dalia Al Bihairi and Ola Ghanem. “Waraq Al Toot” was directed by Adel Al Asar.
Merna appeared in a television series last Ramadan season called “Qisat Al Ams” (The Story of Yesterday). She played the second wife of Egyptian actor Mustafa Fahmi. The series also starred Egyptian actress Elham Shaheen.
