Military Court in Egypt has interrogated the entire cast of the new film “Abu Al Arabi” starring Egyptian comedian-actor Hani Ramzi for the inclusion of a former military official in one of the scenes. The makers of the film have eliminated the scene, which lasts for less than a second, and the film was finally given approval to be screened.
Hani was given a hard blow when the officials of the town of Bor Saeed in Egypt demanded that the film be banned from screening because it ridicules the people of the town given them the wrong image.
Previously, Hani expressed extreme anger towards all cinema houses in Egypt for removing the screening of his summer hit movie “Awiz Ha'ei" (I Want My Share) despite the fact that it had brought in a profit of over 4 million Egyptian pounds. The movie was taken off due to the fact that there are so many new summer movies, leaving no room for any one film to stay at a cinema house for too long.
Ramzi stressed that the existence of so many new films at one time looses any real value a film may have. He added that producers and directors should not release all the films at once but rather give each its fair chance of being screened at cinema houses in order to cover expenses and bring in profits.
The film had at one point faced major problems during the first weeks of shooting scenes, when Hani discovered that the scenes filmed had major technical problems that could not be fixed forcing them to restart everything all over.
