Prominent Egyptian actress Nadia Lutfi has announced that she will not be selling her life biography to any local or satellite TV channel to be made out into a movie or television drama. The actress stressed that she will not even consider any offer even if it was for millions of dollars.
According to the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom, Nadia had recently received an offer from an Arab satellite TV channel for her life biography but strongly refused the offer saying her life is not for sale. The actress added that she prefers to keep her life a private and personal matter and is not willing to share it with the public. Nadia also noted that with regards to her acting career and the achievements she has so far is clear to everyone and does not need to be documented.
In April, Nadia decided to begin writing a documentary book about the wars that have occurred in the Arab world sine 1956 up to the current US-British war on Iraq. Nadia revealed that she will release a book that portrays her point of view as an actress towards the wars that have occurred and will be talking as an eyewitness to the events. Nadia said that she will also include a section in the book on how the wars that happened had affected the Egyptian cinema.
Nadia will include a section in the book that talks about how Egyptian actors were affected by the past and recent wars and how they contributed to portraying to the world the course of events of wars and their outcomes in films and numerous documentaries. She expressed that she is willingly to accept any offer by production companies that wish to turn the book into a film.
Since the US-British war on Iraq stopped all entertainment activities in Egypt with singers and actors refusing to carryon their daily schedules, everyone watched in agony to see what the outcome of the ruthless war would be, and at that point Nadia decided to seclude herself from the outside world and will remain at home, in order to document every event.
Nadia wanted to document all the events in Iraq to create a full detailed documentary on the destruction and suffering brought on by the enemy. Scenes of innocent civilians and children being slaughtered, homes destroyed, historical sites eliminated, and basic rights broken was chosen as the main themes in the documentary to show the world the negative impact a war has. -Albawaba.com
