Egyptian singer Mohammad Foad recently returned from Ghana, where he had accompanied the Egyptian soccer team. Foad had travelled with the team along with his business manager, in order to support them and follow their every step up to victory.
Upon his arrival to Egypt, he refused to take some time off to relax and went out with the team to walk the streets of Cairo holding the Egyptian flag.
Egypt’s victory at the African Cup of Nations had forced Mohammad to be in the spotlight once more after he had disappeared completely. Mohammad’s disappearance came directly after the release of his last album “Wala Nus Kilmah” (Not even half a word), which was produced by the production company ‘Rotana’.
According to the London based Elaph, after the release of the album, rumors began spreading about the existence of disputes between the singer and the company over the budget of the album and the promotional campaign that accompanied it. Mohammad had agreed with ‘Rotana’ that the campaign for the album would not be any less in value and manner than that of prominent Egyptian singer Amr Diab.
At that point, Mohammad had threatened to leave Rotana if it did not treat him with the respect he deserves and stated he would leave the company and begin producing his own albums.
On a different note, Mohammad has established a new recording studio and is furnishing it with state of the art technology.
The singer is also preparing to film his new film “Tuma wa Tifa fi Ard Al Hukumah” (Tuma and Tifa on government grounds) during the upcoming month. The script is written by Ahmad Al Baih, and actress Yasmeen Abd al Aziz will costar in the film. Until this point, Mohammad has not found a suitable director to direct the film.
