Egyptian actress Muna Zaki is a well-known face among the number of Ramadan drama series.
According to the London daily Elaph, Muna has been away from Ramadan series for the past few years, after her drama series “Cinderella” fared poorly.
This year Muna decided to make a comeback through her radio drama series “Al Hareb” (The Fugitive), aired everyday on “Middle East” radio station after the “Iftar” prayer. The series is aired just moments after “Iftar”, because Muna says that the timing is right since the whole family is gathers at “Iftar” time to break their daily fast.
It was one of the great moments at Ramadan time when she was young, said Muna, to turn on the radio at “Iftar” time and listen to the radio drama series.
Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Saqa stars in the radio drama series. He also remembers sitting around “Iftar” time and listening to the drama series aired on “Middle East” radio station.
In “Al Hareb” Ahmad plays the role of a police officer Yousif who is investigating the murder of his friend. There is a conspiracy to kill him after he arrests an infamous drug dealer.
The radio series is written by Majdi Al Kadish and directed by Ala Khalaf. The series also stars Majed Al Kadoni, Ahmad Eid, Hanan Mtawe’, Majdi Bader, Ghada Ibrahim and Samyah Atef.
The series is produced by “Pro-communication.”
