Young Egyptian actress Muna Zaki revealed that all recent circulating rumors that a conflict existed between her and Rotana, because the latter had aired behind the scenes clips from her latest film “Abu Ali”. Muna stressed that she nor her husband, Ahmad Hilmi, had made a phone call to officials at Rotana demanding they stop airing the clips because they showed Muna in a very intimate position with the lead actor.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Muna noted that she has nothing to be ashamed of and does not think her manner in the film exceeded the limits of being respectful. She stressed that the film is a romance comedy that must show a love relationship between the leading actress and actor. Muna added that she had always made it a point since she began her acting to set limits as to how far she is willing to go, and does not believe she crossed the line in “Abu Ali”.
It was rumored that the administration of Rotana has announced that it will stop the airing of the album “Making Off” for the film “Abu Ali” after the Muna called to inform them of her extreme disappointment. The actress revealed her anger for the extensive broadcasting of the album, which contains intimate scenes of her and actor Kareem Abdul Aziz.
It was added that the actress stressed that the scene of her and Kareem near the lake makes people think that a very intimate relationship exists between them without knowing that its just scenes from the film. Rumors also said that the incident also made Muna’s husband Ahmad Hilmi go into a rage demanding that Rotana stop airing the clip, but Ahmad denied such lies stating that he does not interfere in his wife’s career and trusts her judgment in everything she does.
