Mustafa Shaaban Joins ‘Nile Sons’

The young Egyptian actor Mustafa Shaaban will costar in the joint Egyptian Greek film Awlad al Nil (Nile Sons) along with the actresses Leblebah, Magda Zaki and the Egyptian Greek dancer Kitty, according to the UAE daily al Bayan. 

Kitty participates as a guest of honor in the film, which will mark her return to the cinema after a 35-year sabbatical. 

Shaaban played the role as the son of the artist Noor al Sherif in the series A’elat al Hag Mitwalli” and managed to attract the attention of the viewers. Some people threw doubts about his starring role in the film Nile Sons but the international director Coasta nominated him to take a role in the film, which will participate in Cannes festival in 2004. 

Meanwhile, Shaaban began shooting the first scenes of the film Khalli al Dimagh Sahi (Keep Mind Awake) directed by Mohammed Abu Saif and scripted by Muna al Sawi. Costarring in the film is the young actress Dalia Mustafa. 

Earlier Abu Saif postponed the film’s shooting many times for production problems and due to being busy in shooting some drama for the Egyptian TV. Shaaban also requested the postponement due to his engagement in shooting his role in the series A’elat al Hag Mitwalli -- Albawaba.com
