Nabila Obeid and Laila Elwi on stage

Prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid has received an offer from the head of the Egyptian Actors Association, Ashraf Zaki to star in a new play of her choice. Nabila welcomed the opportunity and is enthusiastic about the new play.
Zaki also offered Egyptian actress Laila Elwi a leading role in a new play that is an adaptation of one of William Shakespeare's famous works.
According to the London based weekly Laha, this move by Zaki is an attempt to bring back the tradition of famous stars taking part in plays, hoping to spark an Egyptian theater revival.
Obeid was recently honored at the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo for the great achievements of her career.
Nabila has reached an agreement with director Khaled Al Hajjar to begin filming "Ma Fish Ghair Kidda" (Nothing Like This), which she hopes will mark her comeback to the big screen.
