Prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid has agreed to take part in a joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti film titled “Lilbai’ lidawa’e El Safar” (For Sale Due to Travel), written by Mohammad Yousef and directed by Khaled Al Mufaidi.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, the film revolves around a woman married to a successful businessman who lives in Kuwait. After leading a peaceful life for some time, she is suddenly faced with difficult decisions that turn her life around.
Nabila will be residing in Kuwait for over a month, and after she has completed filming she will return to Egypt, to resume work on her upcoming film “Ma Fish Ghair Kida” (Nothing more than this).
Nabila announced that the rumor of her nomination of controversial Egyptian singer Ruby for a role in her upcoming film is unfounded.
Rumors claim Nabila threatened the director, Khaled Al Hajar, to withdrawal from film if he insisted on his nomination of Ruby.
“My new film does not have a role suitable for Ruby,” stated Nabila.
The cast of the film has been chosen, and the person who created the rumor was looking to publish controversy, she added.
With regards to Nabila’s opinion towards Ruby as an actress, she cannot judge since she has never seen Ruby’s film “Seven Playing Cards.”
