Prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid is on a quest to find a young actor who looks similar to her for her upcoming television drama series "Asabi' Bila Yad" (Fingers without a hand), written by Ihsan Abdul Kadous.

The young actor will play the role of Nabila in her early teens, between 15-18 years. Nabila has posted advertisements for the part, reported the Qatar daily, Al Raya.

Nabila has suddenly pulled out of the joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti drama, “Lilbai’ lidawa’e El Safar” (For Sale Due to Travel). The drama, which was scheduled to be aired during the month of Ramadan, is written by Mohammad Yousef and directed by Khaled Al Mufaidi.

Nabila withdrew once she realized that the drama would not be ready in time to be screened during Ramadan, since all films to be shown during the holy month must be submitted by the end of August.

In a daring move, Nabila announced that she has lowered her wage for her upcoming television drama series “Hikayet Hub” (A Love Story).

Nabila made this selfless decision in order to allow the production company a larger budget, hoping to increase the quality of the series.

The actress stated that her financial sacrifice “means more money will be spent on technical issues, resulting in better quality.”
