Prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid was recently honored at the Egyptian National Cinema Festival for her remarkable achievements as an actress. Nabila exclaimed that she considers the recognition as momentum for her career.

Nabila revealed that her withdrawal from the film “Amarit Ya’qoubain,” also starring Adel Imam, was due to numerous alterations made to the script which significantly changed the role she had initially accepted.

In addition, Nabila suddenly withdrew from her leading role in a television drama based on the popular folktale “Raya wi Iskeena”, also starring Nadia Al Jundi.

Nabila stressed that the role of the evil Iskeena, who murders innocent women and steals their treasures, is far too complex for television. The actress added that she would be more comfortable tackling this difficult role on the big screen, where she is able to perform any role to perfection.

Nabila has nominated young Egyptian actors Hanan Turk and Ahmad Razi for the roles of her children in her upcoming film “Ma Feesh Ghair Kida.” Nabila has requested that director Khaled Al Hajjar seek a new face to play the role of her third daughter.

Nabila announced that she is also working on a new television drama, but refused to give out any details, claiming that talking about any project in early phases only hurts it.
