Lebanese singer Najwa Karam accused music production company ‘Rotana’ of being a “dictator,” by interfering with her video clip.
Najwa said the company’s involvement hurts her, since “singers are very emotional and can’t be beaten with a stick.” Production companies need to know that being too involved with the singer’s decisions leads to something the company might not like, she added.
According to the Kuwaiti daily Al Kabas, ‘Rotana’ produced an album for Najwa last year called “Haida Haki” (Is This the Talk) and she only filmed a video clip for one song called “Haida Haki”. Najwa is now in the process of filming another video clip for the album called “Law Ma Bitktheb” (Only if You Don’t Lie). Najwa decided to make the video clip due to the popularity of the song among her fans.
The new clip is about her falling in love with her personal bodyguard. Najwa recently have a live concert in Dubai on New Year’s Eve with Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury. The concert was a great success.
