Najwa Karam thinking of going into acting

Lebanese singer Najwa Karam recently returned from Qatar where she participated in the musical production "Aswat Kalabt Al Alam" (Voices that turned the world), based on human rights issues.

Najwa is now reviewing the screenplay for a new drama series directed by Raeef Karam.  The leading male actor, Syrian Jamal Suleiman, has also nominated Najwa for the leading female role and is hopeful she will accept.

Najwa did not reveal any details regarding the drama, but promised to do so once she gives her final acceptance.

On a different note, sources revealed that the ‘Music Production Company for Audio and Visual’ has created a list of singers for whom they will not renew their contract. Sources said this step is the company’s way of restructuring and creating a new image for itself.

Rumors claim Najwa Karam may be on the top of the list, although her latest album “Shu Hal Hala” (What is this Beauty) was tremendously successful.
