Nancy Ajram denies dispute with Essam Zughaib
Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has revealed that there is no current dispute between her and poet Essam Zughaib, who was the main reason behind her popularity. Nancy stated that she feels its time to move on to a different poet in order to have more variety and a different styles.
According to the London based Elaph, Essam refused to diverse the songs for Nancy and insisted that she sings in the Lebanese accent only and refrain from singing in other styles. Nancy eagerness to introduce something new to her audience led her to a new poet saying that regardless of the breakup in business, she and Essam remain very close friends and will stay that way.
On a different note, Egyptian film producers are currently seeking female Lebanese singers to star in their upcoming films. Nancy along with Lebanese singers Alissa, Haifa Wahbi, Maya Nasri, Pascal Mash'alani, Katia Harb, and Nicole Saba have received a number of nominations by producers and directors from Egypt. Nancy was nominated for the leading role with Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi in the film "Awiz Ha'ei" (I Want My Share). The singer did not reveal to the public if she will accept or refuse the offer, saying she will give herself some time to think the matter over. –Albawaba.com
