Nancy Ajram denies having hot tea thrown at her
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Lebanese singer Nancy has denied circulating rumors that Saudi artist Yousif Al Jarah and host of the weekly program 'Adam' on the Arab satellite television channel MBC, threw boiling tea at her.
The rumors claim after Nancy made offensive remarks about Islam, Yousif attacked her.
Nancy asserts she has never met Yousif, or appeared on his program for that matter. She said she was shocked by the rumor, and that she would never make any offensive remarks about any religion, let alone Islam. Nancy also said she is very proud of her Arab roots and heritage.
Circulating rumors claim that Nancy is dating Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi's ex-fiancé, Saudi tycoon Tareq Al Jafali.
He has offered to buy her a luxurious villa in Beirut, stressing that it is nothing compared to what he will offer her if she accepts his hand in marriage, rumors claim.
On a different note, Nancy is preparing to film a new music video for the song "Ihsas Jadeed" (A New Feeling) from her latest album "Ya Tabtab." Nancy has teamed up with Lebanese director Saeed Al Marouq, marking their first cooperation.
Nancy held a performance in Bahrain on May 18 alongside a number of Arab singers, part of a series of concerts organized by the Lebanese radio station ‘Saout Al Ghad’ (The Voice of Tomorrow).
Her last performance there, three years ago, drew protests by Islamist members of Parliament, demanding that she be banned from the country.
Nancy expressed her joy over returning to Bahrain and sang a collection of her most popular hits from her latest album.
