Red Bull Air Race World Championship to take off with Nancy Ajram and Ramy Ayach concert
Leave it to Arabia’s favourite pop princess to upstage even the fastest planes in the world.
The upcoming Red Bull Air Race World Championship will bring more than its usual high-flying action to the UAE capital this year. The race will take off with a concert co-headlined by Lebanese superstars Nancy Ajram and Ramy Ayach, supported by popular Egyptian pop rockers Wust El Balad, on February 28, at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
In a message to her fans in the UAE Nancy said: “The concert will be a night to remember on the Abu Dhabi Corncihe. I am thrilled to be performing in the UAE capital again, especially in the context of such an adrenaline packed event as the Red Bull Air Race.”
Ayach, best known for his blend of pop and Arab folk music, is expected to play a medley of hits from his nearly two decade career. A thrill seeker himself, Ayach did not hide his excitement regarding his concert performance.
“It’s wonderful to be part of such an exciting event. I’m looking forward to take part in the festivities...I hope everyone will enjoy it.”
To mark the return of the fastest motorsports series in the world, the Abu Dhabi Corniche has come alive with the Red Bull Air Race Adrenaline Zone starting on Sunday, February 23.
The concert announcement coincides with the start of ticket sales, available through redbullairrace.com (Dhs850), or in person at Virgin Megastores across the UAE (tickets will also be sold on the Abu Dhabi Corniche at ticket booths). While all Red Bull Air Race ticket holders will automatically get access to the concert non-ticket holders will be able to buy concert tickets (Dhs150) separately.
