Nancy Ajram to spend the holidays between the UAE and Kuwait
Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has announced that she will be spending Eid El Adha holiday between Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates where she is scheduled to hold live concerts. The first day of the holiday Nancy will hold a performance in Dubai and then head off to Kuwait where she is scheduled to hold concerts on the second and third day.
Organizers of the 2004 Muscat Music Festival in Oman announced that Nancy will be one of the main surprises of the festival, which begins mid-January and continues until mid-February. It was revealed that the first performances are scheduled to be held by Nancy after which other singers will sing.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, at a press conference held in Muscat, it was revealed that the main purpose of the festival is to enhance the cultural aspect of Oman. Nancy was chosen for the opening ceremony of the festival due to the fact that she has gained so much popularity this past year and her presence adds great value to the festival’s success.
The Egyptian Production Company has already begun taking on different measures with the start of the New Year aiming to produce better quality films that will surely bring in large profits. The company has taken on the initiative of producing more films that are of high standards presenting a positive outlook towards the Egyptian cinema.
Mamdouh Al Laithi, head of the cinema organization, said that the rise of the company's capital, which has reached 300 million EGP, a large number of films will be produced that will revive Egyptian cinema that are of excellent quality, adding that this year they will be producing ten movies. Among the first movies to be produced will be "Rasael Bahar" (Letters from Sea), written and directed by Daoud Sa’eed. Egyptian prominent actor Ahmad Zaki and Nancy Ajram have been nominated for the leading role in the film.
The film will mark Nancy's first acting experience and will taking her into a different direction with regards to her career. It was revealed that Nancy has not confirmed her acceptance of the role as negotiations are supposedly in process. –Albawaba.com
