Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi is preparing to film the music video for the second song from her latest album “Yama Kalo” (They Kept Saying). The song “Adi” (Normal) is sung in the Gulf dialect and the clip will be directed by Randa Alam, marking their third cooperation together.

According to the London based Elaph, filming has been postponed for a few days due to inclement weather, since most of the scenes take place outdoors.  The crew began filming indoor scenes to save time.

Nawal denied that she is facing problems with production company ‘Alam El Phan’ and owner Muhsin Jaber. Nawal said Muhsin has complete trust in her and does not interfere with her choice of music or style.

Nawal has also denied rumors that she is depressed over the timing of the release of the album during the war between Israel and Lebanon.  Instead, Nawal attributes her dismay to the destruction of her country and the suffering of the Lebanese people.

Sources claim during the war Nawal pleaded with Muhsin to postpone the release of the album, but to no avail.

Recently, Nawal appeared as a guest on the first episode of the popular Egyptian television program “Al Bait Baitak” (The House is Your House) in its new Ramadan season.  Lebanese television broadcaster Razan Moughrabi also appeared on the program.

The program has been divided into three sections. The first is presented by the usual host journalist Mahmoud Saed and usually deals with political issues.

The second is presented by Razan and Abbas, and they discuss issues concerning men and women often featuring a guest expert. The final section features different artists and is presented by Tamer Amin and Muna Sharqawi.

Nawal kicked off the season by wishing everyone around the Arab world a happy Ramadan, praising Egypt and its people.
