After completing the recording of the songs for her upcoming album in Cairo, Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi headed straight to Jordan to take part in the Annual Summer Jarrash Festival, after an eight year absence.
According to the London based daily, Alsharq Al Awsat, after her Jordan stop, Nawal is scheduled to fly off to London where she will hold a grand performance at the Apollo Theater. The singer will then hold a number of performances around the Arab world.
Nawal has decided to release a new single “Rouhi ya Rouhi” (My soul my soul). She is deciding between Egyptian director Tareq Al Iryan and French director Stephan Leonardo for the filming of the accompanying music video.
Nawal has denied rumors over the existence of disputes between her and production company Alam El Phan.
The singer confirmed that she has not broken her contract with the company, mentioning her strong ties with the company and its owner Muhsin Jaber.
Nawal revealed that she had only one misunderstanding with the company over the airing of her music videos from the album "Ainaik Kadabeen" (Lying Eyes).
The company demanded exclusivity to air the videos on their personal music channel; however Nawal refused, wanting her videos dispersed to a variety of music channels. Alam El Phan agreed to give her complete freedom to distribute her music, resolving the issue.
