The cast of the upcoming television drama “Agent 1001” has left for Morocco to shoot outdoor scenes, and will continue filming on location in Turkey, Cyprus and Greece.
The series, based on a true story, is a spy thriller to be aired on six different Arab satellite stations during the holy month of Ramadan.
Starring Mustafa Shabaan, Nelly Kareem, Riham Abdul Ghafour, Razan Moughrabi, and others, the series is already in high demand.
Mustafa and Nelly are also waiting for the launch of their upcoming film “Fatih Ainak” (Open Your Eyes), written by Mohammad Hifthi and directed by Othman Abu Laban.
Nelly is personally involved in the final stages of the editing process for the film. According to the actress, she wanted to avoid the same dilemma her colleague Muna Zaki encountered with Mustafa and Othman for the film “Ahlam Omrina” (Our Life’s Dreams), for which some of her scenes were edited without consulting her.
On a different note, Nelly announced that she is writing the screenplay for her first film, “Ballerina.” The plot revolves around a famous ballerina who is homebound and forced to resign from dancing after a debilitating accident.
The ballerina must fend for herself, forcing her to find jobs in restaurants and hotels. Eventually she finds a position as a room service maid, where meets a young man and falls in love.
Throughout the course of events, she finds a doctor specialized in treating her condition and is cured, enabling her to dance once again.
