A new company seeks to cut deal with Nancy Ajram
At a time in which Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram is carefully producing her own music and making sure that no one interferes with her freedom to distribute ir, she is considering joining the new production company ‘Melody Fame.’
Owner of the new company, Egyptian billionaire Najib Sweiris, intends on making a strong entrance into the market by trying to sign with numerous popular singers.
A number of singers from around the Arab world have expressed interest in joining the company, most of whom are currently with the production company Rotana and are experiencing dissatisfaction with it.
Nancy, Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher, Lebanese singers Assi Hilani and Ragheb Alama are nominated to be the first big names to become members.
Nancy’s latest music video “Inta Aih” (What are you) is currently being aired on the satellite channels MBC, LBC, and Melody.
The clip marks the return of cooperation between the singer and Lebanese director Nadine Libky, who produced five of Nancy’s six clips.
For the fist time Nancy appears as a wife in the clip, who suffers from marital betrayal. The singer portrays the despair of a wife whose husband cheats on her with her best friend.
Nancy’s performance as a suffering wife was rather good, which raises the question of her entering the acting world.
