Actor Tamer Abed Al Minem is writing a television drama series about the life of the late Lebanese artist Suzan Tamim and he calls the series “Al Murafaqah” (Companionship). Tamer previously announced that “Al Murafaqah” was going to be a cinema film, but he changed his mind and turned it into a television drama series. Tamer is trying his best to finish writing the events of the television series in order to choose all the stars and to start filming the scenes.

The series “Al Murafaqah” is estimated to be aired on television during the upcoming Ramadan season of 2010.

According to the London daily Elaph, Tamer revealed that his decision to write the script about Suzan Tamim’s life after he had seen how there was great public interest and the court trial of her accused killer was followed to the end. He added that the story of the television drama series is only to clarify the danger of mixing between money and power.

Tamer also points out that he doesn’t know more about the television series more than the audiences know about the case and what they heard through the press and media coverage of the horrific event. He also stated that he won’t get Suzan Tamim’s family permission to make the series because he is only telling a story and not the real story that happened to her and the series won’t touch on personal details about Suzan Tamim.

On the other hand, Tamer revealed that he did not see all the episodes for the television drama series “Layali” which was aired on television last Ramadan season. He said that he watched a few episodes in order to find out if there is a resemblance between his story and the story of “Layali”, but stated that the two are totally different. He added that there are no stars being nominated for any of the roles in the series, because he wants to finish with the writing of the series before he goes into that step.
