Lebanese singer/actress Nicole Saba has recently released her first solo music video for the song “Yali Shaghilni Beek” (I’m Occupied with you) under the direction of Nadine Labky. The director decided to present Nicole in a new style, which has not been used, as a secretary from the sixties.
In the clip, Nicole attempts to seduce her boss by certain moves and wearing somewhat revealing outfits. Saba has strongly denied circulating rumors that the idea behind the video “Ya Shaghilni Beek” originally belongs to Jiji Lamara Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram’s business manager. It was rumored that Jiji had already agreed with Nancy on filming the music video, but was shocked to learn that Nicole had stolen the idea.
The song is part of Nicole’s first solo album, which the singer hopes will mark her return to the singing world. Nicole placed the final touches on her album in Cairo . Alam El Phan produces the album “Ya Shaghilni Aineedk”, which features ten songs.
Nicole has been refusing all offers to star in films and television dramas, stressing that she wants to concentrate her attention on her singing career at the moment and wants to ensure that her first album will find the success she is hoping for.
Nicole’s last participation in the acting world was through the Egyptian film "A Danish Experience" alongside Egyptian prominent actor Adel Imam. The one thing many had wondered was how fate brought her side by side next to one of the Arab world's most popular actors. It was revealed that her looks and the blonde hair had developed over the years taking her to unimaginable popularity.
Nicole herself revealed that she was in shock when she had received a phone call from Adel asking her to be in his new film. She added that at first she thought it was a prank. The opportunity opened the gateway for Nicole into the Arab version of Hollywood and led many producers and directors to begin offering her roles in their films.
In the movie Nicole admits that she has stepped into the world of celebrities. Nicole revealed that she enjoyed her first acting experience with Adel, who told her that she has got the potential to succeed in the world of acting. Nicole admitted that Adel gave her a push forward to go on to establish a new career in acting in addition to her original career as a singer. Nicole added that she learned a lot from all the notes given by Imam, saying that the story of the movie was bold yet not dull. She stressed that she did her role as a foreign girl and she acted as one.
