Lebanese singer/ actress Nicole Saba denied circulating rumors that the Council for the Management of the Musician’s Union in Egypt has banned her from performing in the country.
Nicole stressed that the council is still reviewing the complaint filed against her by her former producer Muhsin Jaber, owner of ‘Alam El Phan Production Company,’ and has yet to make a final decision.
Nicole revealed that Jaber filed a complaint against her claiming that she violated the terms of their contract, and had filmed music videos for different music channels.
According to the daily Al Watan, the singer explained that she appeared as a guest on a program aired by a satellite music channel. During the program the host requested that she perform a song. Nicole sang a song and the director of the program filmed Nicole’s performance as if it was a music video, later airing it on the network.
Previously, disputes erupted between Nicole and Jaber after he repeatedly postponed the release of her last album.
The singer’s contract with Jaber clearly states that he must produce three albums for her in the course of three years. Muhsin has only produced one album for Nicole, prompting her to file the suit.
People in the entertainment world were shocked to learn of the problems between the two parties, especially since they were known to be on excellent terms.
Despite the difficulties Nicole encountered at the beginning of her career, she has overcome the obstacles and risen to the top.
