The Egyptian actor Noor al Sherif accompanied with his wife and star brahim Khan, of Sudanese origin, visited Sudan to attend a concert sponsored by a Sudanese company which prepared a festival for the Sudanese drama entitled Century Masterpieces.

Sherif signed a contract on behalf of his production company with Mahdi Company for Art Production represented by its manager Ali Mahdi to produce the first joint Sudanese Egyptian series. The signature ceremony was attended by the Sudanese Ministry of Information secretary general Abdel Dafee’ al Khatib, actress Pusy, Ibrahim Khan, the head of the Sudanese TV Production Department Mohammed Hatem and a large number of artists, actors and journalists.

The series project entitled Fire Stone is written by Mustafa Ahmed al Khalifah and scripted by Mustafa Muharram from Egypt.

Ali Mahdi told the daily al Bayan that he expected to start shooting the series in December and will continue throughout January and March next year. He pointed out that the story of the series takes place in Egypt and Sudan and tackles historical dimensions from the ancient civilizations of Marwi and Nuba in an indication that both the Egyptians and Sudanese are the offspring of the same civilization and family with one that went to the north and the other to the south—Albawaba.com
