Nour El Sharif returns to the cinema

Prominent Egyptian actor Nour El Sharif will return to the cinema in the new film “Baligh Abook ini Imwafga” (Tell Your Father that I Approve). Nour is currently looking for the right female actor to star alongside him in the new romantic comedy.
Director Sharif Abdul Latif, head of the National Theater, has persuaded Nour to take the leading role in his upcoming play “Al Ameerah wal Sa’louk” (The Princess and her servant), and Nour will also assist Sharif with the direction.
“It is a love story taken from the fairytale a Thousand and One Nights, which really captured my interest,” Nour explained.
The play was written by Al Fareed Al Faraj nearly two years ago.
Nour is directing three films consecutively for the ‘Arab Radio and Television’ network (ART), marking his first experience directing a full length feature film.
Nour has changed the title of one of the films from “Ayam Al Khadima” (Days of the Maid) to “Ahlamna” (Our Dreams), so as not to be confused with Egyptian actress Nadia Al Jundi’s well known film “Al Khadima” (The Maid), released back in the eighties.
Nour signed an agreement with ART to produce and direct a number of films to be aired on its different channels. The films will be made for television only and will explore different social issues that cater to its viewers.
