Prominent Egyptian actor Nour El Sherif has signed an agreement with the Arab Radio and Television (ART) network to produce and direct a number of films to be screened on its different channels. The films will be made for television only and will tackle different issues that are of interest to viewers.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Nour has sought a number of fresh graduates from the Higher College of Cinema, specifically those who majored in film directing, to assist him in his new projects. Sherif will also seek the help of his daughter, Sarah, as a director’s assistance.
Nour is also preparing to direct the new film “Al Iskandarani”, which is written by Osama Anwar Okasha. The actor will also be playing the leading role as the most popular fish seller in Alexandria. Nour has nominated Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab for the leading female role. Filming of the scenes are to begin in the very near future in the city of Alexandria.
