Nourhanne heads to Egyptian cinema

Lebanese singer Nourhanne has been nominated for a leading role in a new Egyptian film alongside Egyptian actors Khaled Abu Al Naja, Izzat Abu Oaf and Dalia Al Buhairi.
The new film is titled “Alkhrouj Min Al Hayat” (Exit from Life) and is written by Hani Essa. Essa had created the leading female role specifically for a Lebanese singer and Nourhanne was the first candidate for the role.
Nourhanne welcomed her nomination and is currently looking over the script to prepare for her role. The film will be directed by Ahmad Hamdi and filming of the scenes is scheduled to begin in August of the current year.
On a different note, Nourhanne’s third album held many surprises for her fans. It featured nine songs written by poets Ahmad Madi and Ahmad Darwish, composers Saleem Salama and Ahmad Barakat, and Lebanese singer Ewan.
Nourhanne said that she had postponed the release of the album due to the crisis in Lebanon over the past six months. She took advantage of the delay by replacing five of the songs with new ones and she is confident they will meet listener’s expectations, said Nourhanne.
The album is distributed by Naser Al Asaad, Adel Aish, Osan, Tony Sabba and Rogea Abi Aqel.
