Director Sandra Nash’at has agreed with producer Wael Abdullah on choosing a new promotional campaign for her film “Malaki Iskandria”, starring young Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz. The film is scheduled for screening during the start of the summer film season.

According to the Egyptian based weekly, Al Nogoom, Ahmad has agreed with Sandra that he will refrain from making any public appearances or even accepting any new acting offers until the film is screened. Ahmad stressed that he will disappear for a while until the screening date of the film, which he is bargaining will be the highlight of his career. The film will mark Ahmad’s first leading role in the cinema and he is hoping to meet the expectations of audiences throughout the Arab world.

Recently, Ahmad expressed his extreme anger at controversial director Enas Al Dughaidi for not mentioning his name in the script of film “Al Bahithat An Al Hurieh” (Seekers of Freedom) as guest of honor only. Ahmad stressed that Enas had taken advantage of his guest appearance and kept making public announcements that he is one of the leading actors in the film to gain more success.

Ahmad added that he only agreed to make a guest appearance on the film as a kind gesture to Enas, who had given him his first push into the acting world when he starred in her film “Muthakarat Murahiqa” (Adolescence Memoirs). Ahmad fears that Enas’s actions will negatively influence the success expected and hoped for his film “Malaki Iskindaria”
