Omar Al Hariri in Hospital

Prominent Egyptian actor Omar Al Hariri was recently admitted to the hospital, accompanied by his daughter, after suffering from pain in his chest. The actor underwent heart surgery shortly after his admittance and is now said to be slowly recovering.


The Egyptian comedian Adel Imam was among the first to visit Al Hariri at the hospital since he is one of his closest friends.


 According to the London daily Elaph, Al Hariri was born in 1922 and graduated from the Arts and Acting college in Egypt, in 1947. He married his first wife in 1948 and the couple had a daughter together.


He later married the Tunisian artist Rashidah in 1998 and had another daughter.
  Al Hariri starred in a number of famous plays and was first introduced to theater by the late actor Yousif Bek Wahbi. Al Hariri also starred in numerous televisions drama series. He starred in 180 films, and played the leading role in 25 of them.
