Pepsi unites Alissa with Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles and Pink
Lebanese singer Alissa has just returned from London where she took part in a special press conference held by Pepsi Cola Company, after receiving a special invitation. There were pop stars, cameras and lights, but the excitement wasn't for a movie premiere, but for the world debut of a Pepsi commercial — starring Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles and Pink.
According to the London based Elaph, the trio alongside Alissa were all at the National Gallery in London's Trafalgar Square for the first screening of the soft drink manufacturer's New Gladiator ad, in which they play gladiators and Enrique Iglesias plays an evil Roman emperor. Alissa was presented as the sole representative for the Middle East, and expressed her honor at being part of such an event.
Alissa had signed an agreement with Pepsi Cola becoming the official spokesperson for the company in the Middle East. The agreement between Alissa and Pepsi is part of the company’s strategic plan to expand the popularity of Arab singers and their music making it reach the entire globe.
Alissa will appeared as the first spokesperson displaying Pepsi’s new soft drink “Pepsi X” in a new commercial with a song “Aribli” (Come Closer), written especially for her and is scheduled to be aired on all local and satellite TV stations in the very near future. Through this step the singer has officially become part of Pepsi’s star family that includes some of the most well-known names of the Arab world and abroad like, American singer Madonna, Britney Spears, Enrice Igleasis, and Arab singers Nawal Al Zoughbi and Amr Diab.
Pepsi’s regional marketing manager stressed that Alissa was chosen specifically to represent Pepsi’s new energy drink is due to the fact that she enjoys such a lively and outgoing personality, and stands for everything that is natural and energetic, which is what the drink signifies. Earlier, Alissa had denied the news of signing an agreement with Pepsi wanting to keep it a secret until all the arrangement are complete.
Alissa had just completed shooting the music video for her song "Kul Youm Fi Umri" (Everyday in My Life), which is part of her upcoming release scheduled to hit stores in the very near future. The video clip is directed by director Saeed Al Marouq, which is the first time he works with Alissa.
An Italian model, Lucio Rafinal, was brought specially from Italy to take part in the video clip alongside Alissa. The filming was done in Lebanon at a horse racing field, in an attempt to present a totally new idea for a music video, which has never been used before.
The director revealed that he is always careful not to repeat the same idea for any of the clips he directs, adding that the theme behind Alissa's clip is unique in the sense that it combines different themes at once. The video is a combination of romance, dialogue and the feeling of being young.
Alissa has denied circulating rumors that she has headed off to Bahrain where she was to be the guest of honor at the Radio and Television annual Festival. The singer also denied that the head of the festival, Syrian prominent actor Duraid Laham, announced her invitation along with giving a brief highlight of the event and what the festival stands for.
It was recently rumored that Alissa had headed off to Bahrain where she will be the guest of honor at the Radio and Television annual Festival, and that a special invitation was sent to her to be the guest of honor and the singer has accepted expressing her joy at such an honor. It was revealed that Lebanese singer Elain Khalaf will also take part of the festival.
Alissa is being extra secretive about the details of her upcoming album, which she is currently preparing for, only revealing that she is in the final staging of its making. The singer added that she will give out information in the album’s regard when the time is right. Alissa was in Paris before going to London to record her voice in special recording studios and not to shoot a music video clip, which was rumored in tabloids.
The singer stressed that she does not plan on being a guest on any television show in the near future wanting to focus her attention on her upcoming album. Alissa previously moved to the Music Production Company Rotana, after signing a contract for a very generous amount. –Albawaba.com
