A plethora of summer events for Nancy Ajram
Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram has begun recording the songs for her upcoming album, featuring twelve songs in the Egyptian, Lebanese, and Gulf dialects. The album is scheduled for release at the beginning of this summer.
Nancy is also scheduled to hold two concerts in Tunisia in June. She will also film a new commercial for Coca Cola Soft Drink, Nancy’s second for the company.
The singer is currently on touring around the US and Canada alongside prominent Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher. The tour is sponsored by the same agent who organized the successful tour of Lebanese singers Nawal Al Zoughbi and Fadel Shaker.
The tour was launched on May 13 in Miami, Florida and will end on July 11 in Boston, Massachusetts. Nancy will hold eight concerts, and Kathem will perform six.
While on tour, a rumor began circulating that Nancy was involved in a car accident that placed her in a coma and led to the death of her mother, who is accompanying her. Several Lebanese broadcasting channels verified the rumor, prompting Nancy to make a public statement from the US denying the rumor.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Nancy assured reporters that she and her mother are in perfect condition and had not been involved in an accident, and described the rumor as “stupid.”
