Due to the current situation in the region with the possibility of war being high, the crew of the film "Al Muhima" (The Mission), starring Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Saqqa, have decided to postpone filming of the scenes for six months or until conditions cool down. The decision is also due to the fact that most of the scenes in the film will be taking place in Turkey, which is now considered as a somewhat dangerous place to be in.

According to the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom, writer of the film Midhat Al Adel said that in addition to the US military bases set in Turkey, the weather at the moment also plays a major part making it impossible to film anything with temperatures reaching 25 degrees below zero. Midhat added that changing the location of the film is not an option since most of the scenes revolve around events taking place in Turkey, with addition to the new Turkish actress who will be playing the leading role with Al Saqqa in the new film.

On a different note, Al Saqqa is trying to convince Egyptian actress Hanan Turk to take the leading role with him in his new movie, which he will begin shooting after the movie "Al Muhima". The new film, which name has not been decided, is to shoot most of its scenes in Russia.

If Hanan accepts the part, she will be playing the role of a businessman's daughter who lives in Russia. Her father discovers a group of men who are involved in smuggling a type of gas that is used to create nuclear weapons.

Hanan secretly makes contact with Egypt's intelligence service and notifies them of the plan to smuggle the illegal gas into Egypt. Hanan works side by side with the agent to help fight the corruption before it reaches Egypt.

The film written by Mohammad Hifthi and directed by Tariq Al Iryan is to costar a number of young Egyptian actors along with some Russian actors who will be playing minor roles. -Albawaba.com
