Ragheb Alama denies loaning ex Lebanese PM hundreds of millions of dollars
Ragheb Alama is a "simple man", he says.
Poor Ragheb Alama just can't seem to escape the rumors of secret millions hidden under his mattress it seems. The Arab Idol judge was once again on the receiving end of gossip about his alleged fortune this week after reports surfaced that he had loaned hundreds of millions of dollars to former prime minister, Saad Hariri.
It's not the first time that news has emerged about Ragheb loaning his pal Saad the cash and last time the megastar hit back at the Lebanese papers spreading the rumors, saying they should be writing about real problems rather than gossiping about his wealth.
This time the Lebanese songster has denied reports by saying that not only is the ex-PM a billionaire in his own right but that he is a "simple man" himself and wouldn't have that kind of cash lying around.
Hariri himself has been beset with rumors of financial difficulties. The leader of the Future Movement party was forced to deny reports in June that he has fired 35% of his staff to cover costs.
