Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama recognizes a changing musical climate just as he campaigns to protect the global climate. So it may come as no surprise to fans that Ragheb is going back to singing in Khaliji (Arabian Gulf) dialect for his upcoming album.
Ragheb will work with Saudi poet Aseer al-Riyadh and Egyptian composer Mahmoud Khayami, who has previous experience in this style of music.
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Ragheb is also preparing to venture into Iraqi traditional song and is collaborating on a piece with Iraqi poets Firas al-Habib and Adel al-Iraqi. The song is predicted to be a big hit with the fans.
