Ragheb Alama and Rotana reach a dead end
During his last visit to Cairo Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama met with the general manager of ‘Rotana’ Production Company, Salem Al Hindi to discuss the possibility of joining of the company, however talks reached a dead end.
The singer previously tried to negotiate a contract with ‘Rotana,’ without positive results.
According to the London based Elaph, Ragheb said one of the main reasons the two parties failed to reach an agreement was that ‘Rotana’ requires complete exclusivity to the rights of its members music.
Ragheb said it is essential that his music videos are aired on all Arab music channels to achieve success. He does not feel it is right for any particular company to have this type of control over a singer's music, added Ragheb.
