Ragheb Alama faced with piracy

After a history of disputes, another has erupted between Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and Muhsin Jaber, owner of production company Alam El Phan.
According to the contract between the two, it was required that Muhsin finance the filming of Ragheb’s latest music video “Al Hubb Al Kibeer’ (The Big Love).
However, Alam El Phan refused to film the clip, leading Ragheb to finance the clip on his own.
The clip, filmed in Malaysia, was distributed exclusively to two music channels, Melody and Future TV.
Ragheb’s office was in shock when they discovered that the clip was being aired on the music channel Mazzika, owned by Muhsin.
Ragheb claims that the clip was copied from either Melody or Future, and then aired illegally on Mazzika.
Ragheb stated that he will take legal action against Muhsin for his “piracy.”.
Recently, Ragheb announced that he will not make a bid in the Lebanese elections.
The singer changed his mind after struggling over his choice of a political party and platform. The singer stated he was not sure how he could best serve the needs of the electorate.
Ragheb is planning a tour around the US and Canada, but kept the matter a secret until completing the necessary legal procedures, such as obtaining visas for him and his crew.
